Through my work as a director, I have had the opportunity to work in numerous new writing venues and alongside many extraordinary writers. I was a panelist on the Yale Playwriting Prize for 6 years, working for David Hare and Nick Wright respectively, and read extensively for the Verity Bargate award at Soho Theatre. My instinct for story, character and rhythm is precise and imaginative, and I excel in supporting writers to make their best work. Through my work at The Royal Court and The National Theatre, I was able to learn from some of the best playwright’s this country has to offer, and I have taken that education into my work with writers of all genres and mediums.

In the last few years I have begun to work as a writer myself, which has expanded my ability and instincts on how to be supportive and clear. I now understand first hand how important it is to receive the right notes at the right time, and which questions are the best ones to ask to help unlock story and character.

I love working with writers as much as I love working with actors, and I am always keen to hear from artists who have a project they want to develop.
